Support #TeamREDRESS at the London Marathon 2023
The iconic London Marathon is taking place on Sunday, 23rd of April 2023, and we have eight incredible runners that will embark on the epic 26.2 race to raise funds to support REDRESS’s work on behalf of torture survivors.
REDRESS’s work delivering justice and reparations to survivors motivated Jonathan to persevere with training and continue his fundraising efforts:
“I’ve been calling upon lots of friends to join me in my training and help me pass the miles, so it really has been a team effort so far! I am really excited to be running for Team REDRESS! Together, I hope we can raise awareness of the injustice that survivors have experienced and shine a light on the vital need for the reparation REDRESS deliver.”
Morgan’s passion for fighting injustice and helping vulnerable individuals understand their rights motivated her to run for #teamREDRESS on behalf of survivors of torture:
“Working for the UN Refugee Agency I saw first– hand the insidious and long-lasting effects torture had on survivors. I’m running to raise awareness of the incredibly important work REDRESS does.”
For our trustee, Evan Williams, who joined REDRESS in 2021, running to raise funds for REDRESS was another way to support the work that we do. Evan will be running with three of his friends: Carl, Graham and Stuart.
We are proud of our runners – Evan, Stuart, Carl, Graham, Jason, Jonathan, James and Morgan – for taking on the challenge to run the 26.2-mile race through the streets of London, which will finish near St James’s Park in Westminster.
We are asking you to support their efforts by donating to #TeamREDRESS. Your donations are sent directly to our charity, providing vital resources for us to help torture survivors who have survived horrific abuse to achieve the justice they deserve.
