Advancing State Practice on Immunities for International Crimes

As part of our work with the Global Initiative Against Impunity, funded by the European Union, we are co-hosting a conference on ‘Advancing State Practice on Immunities for International Crimes’ on 10 September 2026.

The conference will bring together leading experts to examine the key debates and recent developments relating to immunities, including the immunities of heads of States. The conference will be an allow cross-sectoral practitioners to identify strategic opportunities for litigation, advocacy and policy engagement and build a shared vision on the issue of immunities.

Innovating Against Torture: New Strategies for the Anti-Torture Movement

This series of webinars will share novel strategies and approaches to prevent and address torture around the world which are being used by Innovative Lawyers. This is an opportunity to learn from their experiences  and reflect how these lessons may be useful in other contexts/to other lawyers challenging torture in their communities. 

REDRESS’s Innovative Lawyers Awards, granted under the umbrella of the United Against Torture Consortium, encourage and empower a new generation of lawyers in the anti-torture movement to challenge the perpetration of torture in their communities.
