Volunteer Designer
REDRESS is seeking applications from recent graduates and students with experience of e-learning platforms and training tools. REDRESS works to ensure that international standards relating to the prohibition of torture and reparation for survivors of torture and related international crimes are applied at the national level. Part of this work focuses on delivering training for community organisations in order to support an engagement with human rights and legal approaches to seeking redress.
The volunteer designer will work with REDRESS’ program staff on developing a training programme using Adobe Captivate, graphically consistent the newly designed REDRESS website, working with content provided by REDRESS. The volunteer does not need to have web development skills. The volunteer will assist with other duties that may be reasonably expected, such as developing programme and audio-visual materials.
Qualifications and experience:
- Strong and demonstrable IT skills.
- Demonstrable graphic design skills.
- Experience in using Adobe Captivate (essential) and other e-learning platforms (desirable).
- Must be reliable, self-motivated and have strong organisational skills.
- A genuine interest in human rights and the principles of REDRESS’ work.
Time commitment:
Full time or part time for a duration to be agreed between the intern and REDRESS (minimum 1 month).
Location:
Work can probably for the most part be undertaken remotely, although being office-based may also be possible. Some attendance at the office will be necessary, frequency to be agreed depending on requirements.
Remuneration:
This is an unpaid volunteer position. If attendance at our office is necessary, REDRESS will provide travel and lunch expenses up to £15 per day.
