Sudan: ensuring a credible response by the UN Human Rights Council at its 42nd session

Ahead of the 42nd regular session of the UN Human Rights Council REDRESS together with other civil society organisations has urged the Council to take action to address serious human rights violations and abuses that have been and continue to be committed in Sudan, and to support systemic reforms in the country.

Our organisations are also calling on the Council to formulate a holistic response to the situation in the country, including by ensuring an investigation of violations committed since December 2018, renewing the mandate of the Independent Expert on Sudan, and strengthening monitoring and reporting.
