About the Webinar
On the occasion of the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture (26 June) and 40th anniversary of the UN Convention Against Torture, REDRESS and fellow members of the United Against Torture Consortium will be holding a webinar on Ending the Cycle of Violence and Torture Against Protesters.
What You Will Learn
This online event will acknowledge the importance of the UN Convention Against Torture in the global fight against torture and other ill-treatment, and shed light on challenges and abuses observed in the context of the policing of protests. It will identify key actions to curb the unyielding repression of protests by bringing together survivors, activists, experts, and representatives of civil society organisations.
