We Don’t Want To Lose You Over A Law Change
Upcoming changes to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) mean that you have more control over how your personal contact details are used.
This also means that we need you to tell us what information you want to keep receiving from us, so we can make sure that you only receive the news that matters to you. This is why we’re asking you to re-confirm your email subscription if you’d like to keep hearing from us.
Re-subscribing to our newsletter only takes a few minutes and will allow you to continue to receive news about our important work with survivors of torture and to share our vision for a world without torture. As a small charity, communicating with you via email is the fastest and most cost-effective way of keeping you informed, so please re-subscribe by clicking on the button below.
Please take a moment to tell us what news you want to hear from us.
For 25 years, REDRESS has stood alongside the survivors, championed their fight for justice and reparation, and sought to expose governments and individuals who perpetrate torture. Obtaining justice and reparation is a survivor’s right and a vital step in their recovery process. We currently work in all regions of the world, assisting over a thousand survivors in a wide range of contexts.
These survivors include women who were raped during the armed conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Others have suffered torture while working or travelling abroad, such as British-Iranian mother Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe. They may be human rights defenders tortured to suppress dissent, such as Libyan activist Magdulein Abaida, or come from marginalised ethnic, religious or other minorities, such as Azul Rojas Marin, who was almost beaten to death in Peru simply for being gay. Torture can happen to anyone.
We are proud of the work that we do, and we would like to continue sharing it with you, but in line with the upcoming changes in the law, if we haven’t heard from you by 25th May 2018, we’ll have to unsubscribe you from all our mailing lists.
