Considering reparations for victims of the Khmer Rouge Regime
In this discussion paper, REDRESS and the Cambodian Human Rights Action Committee consider the framework for reparation available for victims of the Khmer Rouge regime. It examines the scope for reparation in international human rights law, Cambodian national laws, as well as the Extraordinary Chambers in the Court of Cambodia (ECCC). The purpose is to outline some of the key issues for civil society in respect of reparations, and to provide some suggestions on the way forward.

Meeting the Needs of Torture Survivors in the UK
On 26 June, the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, REDRESS held a Conference to discuss the needs of torture survivors in the UK. The focus was on the plight of refugees and asylum-seekers who have suffered torture elsewhere, but require assistance for rehabilitation and integration, especially in the context of domestic attitudes becoming increasingly influenced by counter-terrorism and immigration policies in the recent years. Participants included medical and psychological experts, human rights organizations, lawyers, activist, specialists, as well as torture survivors.
